Relocation: Support will be considered for qualified candidates outside the commuting area.JTEC Consulting is hiring a senior level Network Engineer to work in support of the SOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services 2 (SCITES 2) contract. The Senior Network Engineer role is focused on planning and implementing enterprise service connections between networks, systems, and applications across domains. This role will help drive modernization efforts for secure cloud computing architecture.Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to):Work as part of a collaborative team for planning, designing, and maintaining enterprise-level network assetsProvide mentorship and support to junior team members, as assignedSupport cybersecurity initiatives including collaboration with ISSO and security team members for Risk Management Framework (RMF)Author and maintain documentation, as requestedEnsure secure and compliant operations for NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS networksInteract with team members at all levels including functional, technical professionals, users, and stakeholdersDemonstrate professionalism interacting with stakeholders for discussions regarding connectivity requirements and configurations for secure and efficient data transmissionEnsure proper configuration and compliance for network switches and routersMaintain DISA STIG requirementsPerform routine maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting supportSupport Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control and authenticationSupport configuration, maintenance, and monitoring for firewalls and intrusion protection/detection systemsImplement security measures, as required, for systems and network specificationsProvide cross-domain support to team for planning and implementation of all service connections between networks, systems and applicationsSupport cross-domain solutions and guards to ensure secure, audit-ready data transmissions between SCCA enclaves and classified domainsProvide on-site support for full schedule hoursRequirements include:U.S. citizenship; no dual citizenshipActive, adjudicated TS/SCI security clearanceEffective written and verbal English communication skills to support a blended government contractor environmentAvailability to work on-site in Doral9+ years of related IT experience supporting Network Engineering environments including: 5+ years of overall experience must be in a professional Network Engineer roleBachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a degreeMust hold an active DoD 8140 / DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) with active continuing education (CE) statusDemonstrated understanding of network security principles and network/routing protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)Experience working with Cisco networking IOS, NX-OS and security appliances (ASA/Secure Firewalls, ISE)Experience configuring and managing network devices, routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systemsHands-on experience with network management toolsDemonstrated understanding of virtualization and cloud networking conceptsExperience with securing classified networks (SIPR, NIPR, JWICS)Experience implementing DISA STIGsExperience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework/Risk Management Framework (RMF)Demonstrated understanding of network access control and authentication mechanismsDemonstrated ability to assess and mitigate network security risksExperience working within a DoD Combatant Command (SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a Service ComponentAbility to effectively communicate with technical and functional personnel across all levelsAvailability to support on-site schedulePreferred experience:Prior experience supporting SOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) is preferredPrior experience with cross-domain solutions and guards is a plusITIL Foundation, PMP, or Agile certifications is a plusMaster's degree in a related discipline is a plusJTEC Consulting LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
