Social And Content StrategistBully Pulpit International is an outcomes agency made up of strategists, data scientists, and artists. We have more than 400 team members in six countries and thirteen offices — Berlin, Brussels, Chicago, D.C., London, Los Angeles, New York, Oslo, San Francisco, and Zürich. We apply our unique expertise across strategic communications, public affairs, research, and digital marketing to create sophisticated and customized strategies that make change possible for both American and European clients.BPI is seeking a seasoned social and content strategist to guide integrated social media programs that advance our mission, amplify our impact, and protect our reputation. This role combines strategic planning, content creation, executive visibility, and rapid-response expertise, with a focus on thought leadership, public policy, and values-driven engagement.Starting salary range: $77,000 - $85,000 (+ annual bonus)Location: Expectation to work from one of our offices (NYC, DC, Chi, SF, LA) at least 3x a weekStrategic Leadership & PlanningTranslate broader client and brand objectives into clear social content plans, ensuring day-to-day execution ladders up to the bigger strategic pictureManage always-on campaigns across key platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X/Twitter, Reddit, etc.)Own social projects from brief through delivery, setting priorities, anticipating needs, and bringing in the right internal partners at the right momentsContent DevelopmentManage content calendars, draft engaging copyDeliver proactive and reactive messaging that shapes narrativesSupport visibility tied to events, media coverage, and philanthropic initiativesExercise strong editorial judgment across social copy and content, synthesizing feedback from clients, strategists, creatives and other internal teams into a cohesive final productPlatform Knowledge & InnovationUnderstand the social content ecosystem end-to-end, including content planning, creative development, production, approvals, scheduling and publishingBe comfortable working across native and third-party social platforms and using performance or audience insights to help inform future content decisionsProject Management & CollaborationManage multiple workstreams, stakeholders and competing deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment without losing sight of quality or business objectivesBring enough project management and creative production experience to keep work moving independently, troubleshoot roadblocks and maintain momentum with minimal directionServe as a trusted day-to-day owner who can connect the dots across strategy, creative and execution rather than simply managing tasksSocial Listening & MeasurementUse social listening tools to build searches/queries, monitor keywords and narratives, assess sentiment/volume, identify spikes, monitor competitors/issues, and turn the findings into a readout or recommendationMonitor real-time conversations to identify risks, misinformation, and reputational threatsDeliver performance reports and insights on audience engagement and reputational trendsRefine strategies based on analytics and high-impact content themes
